On Sunday, November 18th, 2007. Seventeen Land Rovers departed from Cle Elum for the high Cascades.

What was supposed to be an off road training session turned into an adventure in winter driving. Despite the weatherman's forecast of overcast skies, the trip from Cle Elum to Buck Meadows became a chance for the participants to test their Rovers in deep snow. As the day went on, the snow grew from two inches to eight. We utilized Terrain Response and Grass/Gravel/Snow as we climbed Quartz Mountain road and used our Hill Descent Control to drop into Buck Meadows. After box lunches around a campfire in Buck Meadows, we plowed our way back to civilization. This event was an ideal demonstration of the Land Rover's ability to perform in the worst of winter.
